Individual & Relationship Counseling
MY
HOLISTIC PHILOSOPHY
My belief is that each of us have the opportunity to live the life we envision for ourselves. Counseling can be that unique phase in life where you make the decision to focus on yourself. Life molds us into who we are in this moment, however, we each have the opportunity to cultivate who we want to be in the future.
Whether you want to make lasting life changes, process past trauma or learn skills to cope with everyday stressors, finding the motivation to get to counseling is all that matters.
I believe you are the catalyst for your own healing and growth. This approach allows each client to determine how the session is influenced and to be decisive with the goals they desire to work on. As the counselor, I offer a safe space for each of my clients and I empower you to pursue your personal goals.
"In order to be who you are,
you must be willing to let go of who you think you are"
- Michael Singer
ABOUT ME
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (License # LH60881538) in the state of Washington. I received my Masters of Counseling in Psychology from Argosy University in 2014. I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Washington in 2012. Additionally, I am a member of the American Counseling Association.
Outside of my private practice, I also work with adoptive families in completing their Home Study Reports, which is required to be an approved adopting family.
In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors hiking, biking, bird watching and gardening, along with spending time with my family, friends and two dogs.
Individual Counseling
I work with individuals who are seeking change, whether this change is processing trauma, rewriting our negative self talk or learning how we hold our emotions in our bodies. I utilize your own strengths to continue your process of self empowerment, along with somatic work, mindfulness practices and overall awareness of our engrained patterns.
Relationship Counseling
Each one of us have relationships in our lives, and these relationships can be as equally complex as they are rewarding. With an awareness of how we are all connected to each other, and utilizing the Systems Approach, we can learn skills to improve our communication, boundaries and heal together in order to seek a stronger relationship. I also utilize the Symbis tool for pre- marital and marriage counseling.
Home Study Reports
I complete Home Study Reports, also called a pre-placement report, for prospective adopting families. The process is completed through interviews with all household members, a walkthrough of your home, and the collection of a variety of documents. This report is required to be an approved adopting family.
Supervision
I provide supportive and empathetic supervision to other practitioners in the helping field. I am a certified supervisor. Please contact me with any questions!
FEES
I offer a 15-minute consultation call at no cost to decide if working together is a good fit.
The service fee is for a 50 minute session.
Individual - $160
Coupes/ Family - $175
I do offer a sliding scale, in the hopes that it can reduce financial barriers to counseling.
I do not bill insurance for payment at this time; however, I will gladly provide you with a receipt for services at the time payment is made. It is up to the client to seek reimbursement.
